Hi Bill,
I can't believe how fast Karma is growing. His Ears are up now!!!!!!! He doesnt look like the cute little puppy he looks like a toddler. He and Hammy are still not friends per say but Hammy keeps running down stairs to Karma and then Karma catchs wind of Hammy and chases him. He still loves biting fingers, we are doing what you said I hope he stops soon since his teeth are sharp. Everyone thinks he is beautiful. I have had several people offer to take him if he is too much for me! The first was my father!! He fell in love with my boy..
Lily
Hello,
Just thought I would let you know how well Karma is doing. Hamlet still won't go near him too close but Karma tries. He is growing so fast. I gave him a bone (in his bowl -- at least the first bone). He is going to be spoiled. We buy steaks from time to time on sale. I never finish mine and he got half my steak (after I washed the A-1 off).
We adore him. Everyone thinks he is beautiful and so do I. I hate to brag and say "dog is cuter than yours to my friends" but you know I am saying it in my heart. Isn't he wonderful!!!!
Lily, Richard, Hamlet, and Karma!
Well Bill,
Karma, is 3 1/2 months old and he has terrorized my home. I think Hamlet teases him now. They play together in their own way but Hamlet still will not sleep with Karma as I hoped. Our last Vet check-up (on 03/09) Karma was 25.5 lbs!!!!!! I was shocked!!!!!! he weighted 9.75 lbs the first visit on 01/27. He is growing faster than a weed and about as destructive as can be, but then he looks at you with his soft brown eyes and I swear you would forgive him the world. Richard is trying to convince me it is important to be firm or he will walk all over us and I agree after all I read all those dog books but look at that face. I was reading Kobe and Jasmine's profiles and think Karma is like his Mom. Since Kobe seems to be more the cool collected lady's man and Jasmine the party animal. I noticed that the black color is receding on Karma and he is looking more and more like his folks. BEAUTIFUL!! He is Wonderful!!!! I have been getting him use to the leash and walking him our drive way and yard it never fails people keep telling me how beautiful he is. I have to bite my tongue to hold back the I knows to reply thank you.
I have sent the lates pix, In 1 he looks like he is sticking his tongue out (cutie pie), the other my father took you can see he ate my carpet I made the mistake of taking a nap and he felt the need to chew the carpet although he has tons of toys. I mean not that I spoil him I just feel he deserves all the chew toys to make him happy yet he feels carpet is nicer, go figure??

Hi Bill,
Just wanted to give you an update. My Karma is 35 lbs!!! I know he is growing fast. He was fixed earlier this week, Micro-chipped and licensed. He has been a big help this week, my father's wife passed at the age of 49. There was a police dog at the hospital and the lady police woman let us hug her dog since Karma couldn't come to the hospital. When we come home so sad eyes puffy from crying and blood shot and he will energetically come up to you and lick your tears away you cant help but smile. I will get more pix as soon as I can.
Lily
Hi Bill,
I wanted to send you some pictures of Karma. I know these aren't the best but they were taken with a phone today. In they one he moved when he woke and it was blurry. He was 40 lbs on april 15, 2006 so he is growing.
Lily
Wow It was great hearing from you Karma hear his last puppy check up and he is doing great. He is at 46.4 now!! He is great he smart too. He loves to play with Richard and my Dad since the play rough house with me he knows I cannot play that way he has too much power already for me. I play fetch with him. He will bring me toy and leave it on my lap to throw. If it drops I will say wheres the toy and he will bring it from the floor again. I never taught him this he just seems to know it.
Lily,
Hello Lane Family,
Here are some Pictures of Karma I am not sure if I sent these yet. As you can See my rug is nearly destroyed. We are trying to work on indoor manners.
Lily,
Hello Lane Family,
I almost forgot I am having a spray can artist by the name of Mark Bosler do a special painting of Karma and Hamlet. When he is done and I get the painting I will send you a picture. These spray can artists are amazing. Check him out when you can he is listed on the featured artisted page of this web site: http://www.spacepaintings.com/page/page/945975.htm
I also discovered why you spent time looking for strong toys for Kobe. Karma cannot have stuffed animals anymore they dont last. We bought a toy made from a real fire hose lasted 3 weeks. About the only thing that has lasted is the Kong and a tire (he chewed the rope off but the tire is still there). Richard and I were wondering if we are going to starting having to buy him toys from auto shops, real tires. I can't believe how strong he is, he is only 6 months old. I knew you said he would be big but he is growing so fast. I only had a puppy size dog for a couple of months. I bought him a big tennis ball to play catch with because the other one get tore up too quickly and seem to get lost in his mouth. He can catch no and he jumps to catch the ball, tire, kong and is ususally on target. He looks good too when he does it. I got to tell you we love this guy. He is wonderful. However Karma was supposed to protect me from burglers not the other way around.
My sister and father are moving to Oregon and her youngest son wants my dog. I cant seem to get him to understand that he is my baby and that I love him too. He keeps trying to convince me that Karma needs to be with him. He's the little boy in the picture I sent you. I think I am going to need to lock Karma up the night they leave. One day they were over he was holding Karmas Lead and my sister said ok boys put him in the car hurry and her son started to do it!!!!! I stoped them. He keeps begging mommy to bring him over to play with Karma.
Lily,
Hi bill,
I know I this picture kind of gives the appearance of loss of control, but he thinks he is my lap dog. One picture Richard didn't have the flash on. He likes sleeping on the couch with me. We keep a blanket on the couch to keep the pet hair content down and to keep it clean.
Lily,
Hi Bill,
You are never going to believe this but Karma is increasing in smarts. Today in the heat of the day while I was in my P.J.'s he locked me out of my house. He pushed the door closed and managed to touched the dead bolt enough to lock me out. I had to break a window to get in. Since have only been a home owner for 3 years I had no clue breaking the tiny window on the french door was expensive, I thought it was cheaper then a window.
Lily,
Hi Lane Family,
Hope all is well. Karma is wonderful. I am sure you can tell he is a happy camper. We go to the dog park regularly. I want him to be socialized and I want him to love people and dogs. He can go up to can person now and be petted yet if he feels I am threatened he does guard which is perfect. He loves the dog park. The pictures of him sleeping were taken after we came home. He takes a 2-4 hour nap!!!!! The puppies and dogs wear him out. Several shepherd owners told me that bringing him to the dog park and allowing him to become familiar with people and dogs will make him more friendly but they will always guard especially on their own territory. We revisited the vet since they wanted to rebooster his worms vacs. (the recommended it and I said ok he didn't have worms it turns out) and the tech remembers when I was going to get him to his first visit to now. The vet tech said he is the easiest shepherd she has every given shots too. He can't be my dog I cry when you stick a needle in me he doesn't care. She said normally she get some resistance even from young shepherds and mine is the calmest he doesn't even move or notice what is happening. He has come a long way I can't believe he is going to be 9 months old. In fact that is the number one questions I get at the dog park how old is your dog? They know he is young since he hasn't filled out yet which my vet said and I remember you told me Bill he won't grow with wise until after a year. Then when they hear he is 8 months now almost 9 wow they ask how much he weight and are always shock by they fact that he is a big boy.
I hope you enjoy the pictures and all is well with you and your aninaml
family.
Thank you again for everything Karma means so much to us.
Lily, Richard, Hamlet, and Karma
Hello Lane Family,
I saw the new arrival and boy are they cute!!! I just wanted to take them all home!!!! Karma is beautiful. Attached are his latest pictures I just cannot believe that 12/6/2006 he will be 1 year old. It seems just yesterday I was picking up my baby boy and now he looks so big. He is starting to fill out. His vet said he will fill out more after 1 year but I noticed he has been filling out this picture was taken about 2 weeks ago and he is a little bigger than the picture!!! Funny how puppy stage they change so much. The biggest change is Richard. He is Richard's dog Karma loves Richard first then me never mind that I bathe him, clean up after him, and feed him. Richard and Karma get along so well and Richard greets Karma every day after work and now wishes always to have the German Shepherd breed for our companions. I am trying to convince him that Karma needs to have one of his sisters near here to be happier. He states that our yard cannot handle 2 dogs of Karma's size. I have been telling him a female would be smaller. Wish me luck I am working on it. With Karma's sweet disposition i think a sister would be nice. Everyone at the dog park loves how gentile Karma is. His bark is scary enough. I have noticed though it is true what other GSD owners said get the dog on their own turf and they are not gentile to strangers. We had a contract come to the do he was scared due to Karma's barking (I would be too) I put the baby gates up (which he could jump if he wanted but he respects) the contract sat down at the table and Karma stopped barking but sat behind the baby gate just staring the contractor kept glancing at Karma. Mind you Karma was only 6 months old at the time maybe 50 lbs. He wasnt mean to the stranger but he wasnt acting list he does at the dog park to other people and to my family. I was please with his preformance I feel so safe with him I sleep well when Richard has to work late Richard no longer wakes up at little noises because he thinks hey Karma will bark if we have to worry Karma knows the difference if Hamlet (the kitty) is playing or if we needed to wake up. You produce the best companions and then some. Karma is the best you should please. I tell people openly where I got Karma. I recommend you you do stand by your word.
Thank you lane family Happy Thanksgiving
Lily

Hi Bill,
Here are a couple of recent pictures of Murray. He is doing great in Colorado. We take him for walk around the lake by our house and around the neighborhood. He loves playing with Delaney(our youngest daughter), those two are glued at the hips.
Take Care,
Julie
Hi Bill,

Hi Bill,
Just a quick note to say thanks for your patience while I was choosing our puppy...I chose the black one and I hit the nail on the head. My wife loves her. She is a big hit with everyone that comes over to visit. And talk about being smart...I've had a couple other GSD's but this one is the smartest (so far) of them all. We named her Hannah Storm. In one day she took to her name. Now that we have had her for a whole 10 days she knows the commands...sit, stay, come and I just got her to shake today. She is a quick study...Doesn't much understand the word NO yet but we're working on it quickly. She weighed 13 pounds at the vet last Saturday and I think has gained another 5 this week...One ear is up and the other is trying...
We got the vitamins and are feeding her Dick Van Patten's food...so far
so good.
Will keep in touch...Attached is a pic from today...Virus Free

Dear Bill,
We love Brandi!!! She has become an indoor doggie, and goes everywhere Steve goes! She evens goes to school with him on Tuesday and the kids love her. She has become so protective of the baby and we have to be very careful about letting people pick up the baby to suddenly. I think she thinks Kylie is one of her "puppies", it's absolutely adorable.
I think she has only been in her kennel outside 2 times since we have had her. Maybe were spoiling her a little to much, but she has defiantly bonded with us. Steve IS her favorite!!!
We are really enjoying her, and her training is going great. We were not able to follow up on the other dog because we had a personal problem that has taken a lot of our time. I am still in contact with the rescue and offered to be "foster parent's" if the need arises!
Have a happy Easter! and thanks again for the terrific new member of our family!!!
love, steve and kathy
Hi Bill, Lynnette and Alexis! Little sister got home fine with us, and everyone is doing well. She seems happy and interested in everything. We still haven't got a name for her, but we are getting closer. We'll talk to you soon. Ken, Deirdre, Easy and Baby Girl.
Hi Bill, Lynnette and Alexis--Well, we've got a name! We're going to call her Cinder or Cinders, which is short for Lane's Cinderella Fitzgerald. We like good music so the Ella Fitzgerald part is good; we're Irish, and FitzGerald is a famous old Irish name; and the pup went digging through the fireplace for wood to chew on just as soon as she got here, so she come by her name naturally. It just seems to fit all the way around. I'll send the papers along this weekend. Ken & Deirdre
Hi, Guys! The puppy is growing like a weed! She got her chip yesterday at her first visit to the vet. We've been playing a lot, and Easy is getting used to having some competition in the house. I've taken some regular photos, and have to get a digital camera so I can send them more easily. Her neck is turning lighter, but I don't think it's really tan. More like cream or silver, but we will have to see. Happy Easter! Ken & Deirdre & Easy & Cinders.
Hi Guys!
Here's a few photos of Cinders. She's growing a few feet every day, and having lots of fun.
Ken
Hi Bill --
Cinders is doing great.
Spoiled already.
Ken
Hi Bill, Nanette and Alexis --
Here's Cinder at about 11 months, playing big sister to her new buddy Jake, an Australian Shepherd we just got. Cinder is fine, and as you can see growing into a moose! She's sweet and mellow, and the training is going very well.
Ken & Deirdre
Hi guys --
Here's a couple of Cinder with little brother Jake. Cinder is
having a great life!
Ken
